Bombay & Cedar is a monthly Wellness and Lifestyle Subscription Box which is full of vegan and cruelty-free products ranging from essential oils, diffuser, books, snacks, and others. The company lets you choose between ‘The Mini’ and ‘The Premium’ box.
The premium box will contain 8-10 full and deluxe size products with a retail value of over $100 + USD. Every box will contain new essential oils which might sometimes be accompanied by a diffuser! How great is that right?
The Minibox is perfect for the first times who are looking to try out Bombay and Cedar for the first time. The Mini will contain 5-7 full and deluxe size products with a retail value of over $60+ USD. The Mini will also contain new essential oils every month.
The cost of the Premium box is $49.95 USD per month which goes down to $46.95 USD with a yearly subscription! They do charge a flat rate for shipping through which you can check out on their website. The best part is that Bombay and Cedar also ship internationally!
The cost of the Mini is $29.95 USD per month which falls down to $28.45 USD with a yearly subscription.
Each box comes with a small booklet similar to other subscription boxes describing the content inside.
The theme for October 2018 Box is ‘Kindness’.
All the contents inside the box are listed inside the booklet with a small description along with the retail value of the products.
This month’s first featured brand is Rory Ashton who is well known for their unique jewelry. The second brand is Modern Skyn Alchemy, a family run business who uses pure, natural and organic ingredients following that less-is-more beauty approach.
The booklet also included a list of 10 random act of kindness that we do overtimes. One of them was to smile at strangers which I have been doing regularly and gold it feels so good!
Now let’s talk about all the products inside the box.
One of the best thing about Bombay and Cedar is that you get a bonus gift with your future box if you share a photo of your current box on Instagram.
The bonus gift I received inside the October box is a duo sample by This is Feel. The first product is a deluxe size pumpkin walnut facial cleanser which is quite gentle to your skin. The second product was a 5ml Rose Balm which can be used on the lips or any part of the skin that requires extra nourishment! So happy to receive them inside the box because they are perfect for my upcoming travel!
Essential Oils by Bombay & Cedar
1. Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil- Retail Value $10 USD
Just like the previous box, I was most excited about the essential oils again. This oil acts as a perfect natural disinfectant and can also be used for relieving spasm. It also acts as a tonic and improves blood circulation, alleviates nausea and promotes better digestion.
2. Tangerine Essential Oil- Retail Value $10 USD
Oh, what a lovely citrusy scent! This essential oil is perfect for preventing sepsis, purifying blood, soothing inflammation, boosting digestion and relieving spasm. It also acts as a tonic and also helps maintain moisture balance in the skin.
I felt my skin to be a little itchy after application. Bombay and Cedar do indicate that this oil might show some extent of phototoxicity in certain skin types but is non-toxic, non- irritating and non-sensitizing in general.
3.Paleo Puffs by Lesser Evil- Retail Value $1.59 USD
With the rise of the Paleo movement, a lot of us are inclined to try grain-free eating. The puffs are made up of organic cassava root and sweet potato and are not only for people with food allergens but for anyone interested in a low- inflammation diet. These puffs also consist of coconut oil which is a good source of fatty acids and good fats.
I received the Himalayan pink salt flavor and it was such a tasty snack!

4.Send Some Friendship by Knock Knock- Retail Value $12 USD
These postcards are one of the best things I have received in this subscription box. I am thinking of mailing them to all my cousins abroad. There are 24 cards in total with 12 different kinds! $0.50 for these fancy cards? I am totally digging it!
5.Relieve Eye Serum by Zatik- Retail Value $28 USD
Originated from Glendale, California, Zatik believes that all products should be pure, simple and effective. And so they create their skincare items without any synthetic chemical.
This box included Zatik Relieve Eye Serum suitable for all skin types. This serum claims to bring back your youthful skin around the thin areas of the eyes. The serum is quite lightweight and absorbs fast into the skin without leaving any greasy residue. I could also see the puffiness around my eyes to lighten over time.
The box indicates to use the serum if the morning if you have a normal skin type but twice a day if your skin is dry. Just massage 1-2 pumps evenly on cleansed face around the eye area. It can also be used as a makeup primer according to the company.
6.Floral Water by Modern Skyn Alchemy - Retail Value $8 USD
Let me start by saying that I am in love with the fragrance with this rose water. This rose water soothes and hydrates your skin. It also removes your dirt and grime from your pores. I love rose water a lot because it helps brighten the skin tone and lightens acne scars which are always a big concern for me.
7.Read-Made Water Infusion by Herb & Orchard- Retail Value $9 USD
This Strawberry and Basil water infusion was a great surprise in the box. The packet had pouches inside which you can just throw inside your water bottle and keep using it over the day. But remember, only keep it over the whole day if you want a bold taste. for a lighter taste, remove the pouch after 10 minutes.
This was just yum and I will definitely order again! They also have them available in lemon and mint, and watermelon and raspberry as well.
8. Gemstone Bracelet by Rory Ashton- Retail Value $38 USD
Oh! Who owns a gemstone bracelet? Raise your hand! I am sure pretty much all of us have it and want to own some more! right? I received the Howlite stone bracelet which is known as a calming stone. They are also available in blue lace agate, rose quartz, quartz, opalite, amethyst and malachite.
9. Himalayan Salt Pluggable by Airome
The retail price is still unknown for this gorgeous thing as they are still not available on Airome's website! Let me tell you, this is a beauty! It adds a nice glow to your room making it cozy and warm. The pluggable is said to emit energizing negative ions, purifying the air, improving mood and providing a natural-feeling light source. They are available in bronze and white and I received the white one!
Verdict
I am just in love with the items in the box. The value of the premium box totals $131.59 USD whereas the price is only $49.95 USD. My favorite in the box would be the Himalayan salt pluggable and the gemstone bracelet!
