The Karma Box: Summer 2018

Who else likes coming home to a big box full of hand-picked beauty products, fashion must-haves, fitness essentials, healthy eats and gorgeous home decor products? Nodding your head right now? For me, subscription boxes are like surprises that comes home on a tiring weekday boosting my energy and excitement; energy to open the box 😅 and excitement to know what’s inside! Therefore, I am really excited to bring you Karmabox’s Summer Box of 2018 and talk about the products included in detail.

Karma box is a quarterly subscription box which sends you a box full of essentials worth up to $200 for only $69.95 CAD. The box is full of handpicked products related to beauty, fashion, fitness, health and home decor.

Time to reveal what was in the summer box.

PRESSA BOTTLE - $49.99

Pressa Bottle is founded by health-conscious brothers who wanted to provide the world with fruit-flavored pressed water and god did they succeed! I really liked this bottle because of my love for natural detox water. Just put some fruits into the bottle and twist the dial to squeeze the natural juice out of your favorite fruit. I honestly started drinking more water for the last 3 days.

The bottle is made from quality BPA free plastic and glass and is perfect for a healthy lifestyle.

XPAND LACES - $12.99

I love laces that are elastic and I don’t have to tie and that’s why this is one of my favorite items in the box! I am a person who wears sneakers every day but hates tying the lace and I have been this kind of lace for a while now! Thanks to Karmabox, I now have one more added to my collection!

LINES OF ELAN LIP BALM - $9

Line of Elan makes all-natural lip balm with Beeswax. I love this lip balm because it helps with my dry lips making it soft and smooth. I have used their Honey Lip balm before (thanks to Local Boom) This time I received their Tea Treet Yourself which is made of tea tree oil and god I love it! However, if you are allergic to beeswax then it might not suit you that well.

HERBAL AND GUMMIES- $10.50

I have tried Herbaland gummies before through Influensters Canada and I found it quite interesting! The taste is not like regular gummies because it is a gummy like protein snack. The taste of the gummy is not my favorite but I like it as a protein snack especially if you are trying to stay healthy.

ROSE QUARTZ CRYSTAL- $20

This was my favorite surprise in the box! I was thinking of buying a Quartz crystal when I was lucky enough to receive it in the Karmabox. A crystal is said to help you with your inner self which is why I always wanted to get my own.

NATIVE DEODORANT- $15.79

Native is a brand from the United States that deodorant fee of Aluminum and paraben and uses baking soda, arrowroot powder, and coconut oil. These three absorbs the moisture and eliminates the Odor causing fungi, yeast, and bacteria!

I love the scent of coconut and vanilla and the formula has a very creamy texture. It’s a fresh fragrance but not very overpowering which I liked a lot! However, it does seem to leave white residue on your underarms after a while and leaves marks on your darker clothes which can be washed out.

STRESSLESS NATURAL SOLUTIONS CANDLE- $18

Stressless Natural Solutions makes aromatherapy products and I was extremely happy to get one of their candles in the box! The candle I received was Lavender and Rosemary and gives out a nice herbal and floral scent which is quite relaxing. They say it is very good to use when you are anxious or stressed. The Lavender has a fresh and floral scent with a mild woody undertone helps you with anxiety and improves sleep whereas the Rosemary has a herbal and woody aroma that helps open up your conscious mind.

The candle is said to burn for up to 35 hours.

MALVADOS FLIPFLOPS - $34.99

Malvados is a Canadian made brand inspired by iconic musicians, wanderers, and people wild at heart! A fashion-forward brand who named their sandals after cocktails and rockstars, Malvados is made mainly for travelers who are seeking to wear something comfortable yet stylish!

The Malvados Luxe Flipflops come in 29 different colors. I received the color ‘Taupless’ in the box. I love how comfy and stylish the flipflops are! It goes perfectly with any casual outfit that you wear on a regular basis. The soft vegan PU metallic straps compliment your feet like an accessory.

Last but not the least, Karmabox will donate a part of the Summer Box proceeds to Canadian Women’s Foundation!

VERDICT

This is a seasonal box from Canada like Fabfirfun. Personally, I like the items inside the box. The cost of all the items in the box adds up to $170 which you get for only $69.95. The brands are mostly Canadian startup which makes me want to support this subscription box more.
