LEEGEEHAAM: Ioning My Skin
Like many other Skincare Bloggers, I am quite a fanatic when it comes to Korean Skincare. So, when Leegeeham sent me some samples to review, I was on top of the world! I received their quick ION enhancer along with 3 different face masks to try.
A little about the brand
Leegeeham has been creating their innovative and effective skincare products since 2000 with their slogan "Beauty is Clever". They claim their product to be very advanced and safe for the skin.
The Ion Enhancer comes in a form of white hairband and looks extremely cool! This device uses the technology of Iontophoresis- a method of introducing ionic medicinal compounds into the skin by applying an electric current. This device is used with facial masks to boost the penetration of active ingredients providing better results. Once you turn on the device, you will be able to choose the intensity based on your skin type: ▪️Blue LED means low intensity and is perfect for sensitive skin ▪️Purple LED means medium intensity and is perfect for dry skin ▪️Red LED means high intensity and is perfect for oily skin
This is not a rechargeable device and therefore the battery needs to be replaced once the LED light becomes dim.
The Masks
Wannabe Green Fit Mask - Made with tea tree extract for soothing and repair of the skin
Wannabe Aqua Fit Mask - Made with Hyaluronic acid that moisturizes and hydrates the skin
Wannabe Honey Fit Mask- Made with Propolis extract that revives dull looking skin making it glow.
How to use It’s always a good idea to cleanse and tone your face before using a mask. Place the mask over your face carefully ensuring the serum does not come in contact with your eyes. Then place the ion enhancer on top of your facial mask. Make sure it is placed tightly on your face. Turn on the device by pressing the power button and then press again to select level 1. You will hear a beep sound which confirms your device has started. You just need to click the power button again to choose your desired level. Keep the mask along with the ion enhancer for 15-20 minutes and then remove. Gently pat the remaining serum onto your skin. It's usually recommended that you keep the leftover serum on your skin for better results but I know many of you might not like to do so. If you are one of them, then wash the face and pat dry.
Verdict ▪️First thing, I love the thick consistency of the mask serum ▪️I also loved the hairband like enhancer which holds on to the mask giving me the ability to move around ▪️I did not get the tingling or sensation on my skin which is a plus one ▪️I wish the enhancer was rechargeable rather than battery operated ▪️My skin felt really soft and smooth after use and so I was really impressed!
