OLIVIA CARE: Bath & Beauty Review

A Candle that smells like grapefruit with a mix of sandalwood or soap that smells like Latte with a hint of lavender? Yes please!

Here is the list of three things that the lovely people from Olivia Care sent to me to try and review:

Grapefruit Sandalwood Hand Poured Candle

Question first! Do you like to relax in a tub while a candle burns to release a soft sweet smell that helps soothe your mind? If you are nodding your head, then this little baby is for you. Can I just say I am in love with the smell of this candle? The citrusy and sandalwood smell is clearly breathtaking! The candle is made out of vegan coconut soy wax with grapefruit essential oil infused in it which is perfect for your aromatherapy needs. The wax has a good amount of oil infused and so fills the room with fragrance quite fast. I really loved the scent because it’s quite soft and light compared to other candles which can be quite strong.

Presentation: The candle comes in a coffee colored glass jar which gives a nice warm effect when lit. I really love how clean and modern this candle looks. The minimal labels complement the decor of any home regardless of the surroundings.

Lavender Latte Exfoliating Bar Soap A soap with coffee beans with a hint of lavender- the thought of this scent is even dreamy. But it exists! I had to smell it to believe it! The soap is packed with antioxidants and coffee beans that exfoliates and rejuvenates the skin leaving it soft and smooth . The soap has enough lavender oil blended that releases a nice scent during use. Those who don’t know, lavender is known to be a relaxing herb which is very good for natural stress relief. It is also known for calming itchy skin.

I loved the small coffee bits in the soap which acts as a great exfoliating agent to remove the dirt leaving your skin soft and scented.

Activated Whitening Charcoal Tooth Polish Being from South Asia, I have used charcoal tooth polish long before it became popular to the world. And I think it’s the best way to keep your teeth looking fresh and shiny white.

As some of you know, I am an avid coffee and tea drinker. The side effect of enjoying multiple cups of these power drinks are the stains left behind on the teeth. There are two ways to get rid of these dirty stains. One, you go and clean more often than what you normally do. Or two, use activated charcoal. The charcoal binds to the stain and cleans off the teeth leaving it brighter. It also has peppermint oil in it which makes your breath fresh and clean.

What I did not like about this tooth polish is the jar it comes inside. The jar is made out of plastic and is packed quite poorly. when I opened the cap, the charcoal was everywhere and created marks on my vanity wall. Thank god, I decided to open it inside the bathroom and not my work desk where I usually open all my PR samples.

How to use: Dip your wet brush in the charcoal tooth polish. Brush your teeth in circular motion for 2 to 3 minutes and rinse with water. Make sure to not swallow the charcoal. You can replace your regular toothpaste with this, however, I prefer to brush my teeth with my regular toothpaste right after to get rid of the residue stuck on my teeth.

By the way, I brushed my teeth right after I took the photo above!

Thanks to Olivia Care for sending me these products to try. If i have to choose my favorite of the three, it would definitely be the candle. I loved the candle so much that I am now thinking of reviewing all their candles! HMMM 🤔 What do you think?
